| What is SPF | |
|
A SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a way to allow you to restrict
which mail servers are allowed to send email for your domain name.
An example of an SPF would be : example.com. TXT "v=spf1 -all"
SPF records are TXT records placed into a domains DNS. To setup a SPF record we recommend using the following link:
http://www.openspf.net/dns.html
Please note, forwarding emails can sometimes break the SPF. If this
is the case we reccomend using SRS (Sender Rewriting Scheme). More
information about this can be found here:
http://www.openspf.net/SRSIf the above links do not work please see http://www.open-spf.org/Tools/***** Additional notes for Webservio customers:If you are using Webservio Strata Mail email systems the SPF should be : "v=spf1 a mx ip4:208.82.180.0/22 ip4:208.82.180 |

| How do I report spam that gets to my inbox? | |
| If you are still receiving spam, submitting the emails to the central training system will first of all help to reduce the spam you're seeing, and it will allow us to retrieve detailed information on what may be causing your problems. Emails that did not pass our filtering systems, or that passed the filters because the sender/recipient was whitelisted are automatically excluded from the training systems. Methods to report spamSpampanel webinterfaceIn the Spampanel web interface we have a "Report Spam" button. You can upload a spam message on the page to train the spamfilter. It is a 'drag 'n' drop' style feature, meaning you can save the SPAM email to your system, then drag and drop the email into the "Report Spam" area. Note that only emails are accepted that have been processed by the cluster you're reporting to. Currently only the .eml format is supported.

| Why is my Exchange server experiencing delivery delays from McAfee? | |
| If McAfee's message audit lists the message as "Queued," check your Exchange server log files for the message. If the message is not listed in the log files and you are running Exchange 2010 or Exchange 2013, the issue may be caused by back pressure features. Please read the following articles for more information:Exchange 2013 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201658.aspxExchange 2010 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201658%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx

| How do I re-associate an old employee's archived emails with another user? | |
| When accounts are deleted from an Exchange server, they are not
automatically deleted from the Control Console. When a customer has
Email Archiving, we do not automatically purge accounts created using
SMTP Discovery after 30 days, as we do for customers that only have
Email Protection. If you are synchronizing users in the Control Console
with your Active Directory and you delete or deactivate an account, it
will be marked as "Inactive" in the Control Console, rather than
deleted. Emails that are stored in the Email Archive for users that are
marked as inactive will only be viewable by a customer administrator.
Regarding associating emails with another user, you can create an alias
email address in the Control Console under the user that you would like
to have the emails associated to. For instance, if bob@domain.com
leaves the company and gets marked as inactive, you could create an
alias email address under david@domain.com of bob@domain.com |
