Will there be any delay in message delivery if all emails would go through your server first?
We recommend delivering emails through our Email Defense Solution, which is our MX Backup (aka Mail Bagging, MX Fail Over) services along with either of our anti-spam/virus (Postini OR SpamWeeder) solutions. When your primary mail server is available, your emails should only route through our servers first if you use our Postini OR SpamWeeder solutions for continuous filtering.  These solutions will not cause a delay in message delivery.  Otherwise, we do not recommend using the failover server backup MX record as your highest priority.
What will happen to emails if you are down (your server is down, no power, etc...)?
Original incoming messages will be held within our MX Failover solution.  If you have purchased our Email Continuity add-on, "working copies" of each message received for users configured within the email continuity service will be sent the each user's corresponding Email Continuity account.  These accounts may be accessed via a web based interface or pulled utilizing POP3 or IMAP into your existing email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.).  Users may view and/or reply to the incoming messages.  Correspondents do not realize your primary mail server is off line and your business continuity is maintained. We offer 99.9% uptime with all of our services and 99.999% for MX Failover services that include Postini Anti-Spam and Virus filtering. A mission critical solution for Fail Over MX (aka Mail Bagging and Backup MX) services, we recommend our VPS plans with opti
Will emails always go through your MX Failover (MX Backup) server first and then hit our Exchange Server, or would emails go through your server only when our Exchange Server is down?
This depends on the way the MX record is setup. In most cases, the Backup mail server should be set up as the secondary priority and, as a result, most of the emails would be delivered to your Exchange Server first. All of our MX Backup Solutions come with anti-spam and virus filtering during bagging time only.  However, you may opt to utilize continuous anti-spam and virus filtering. The Anti-Spam portals are located at multiple premium facilities in East and West coast. This solution will route emails through the anti-spam servers before sending them to your Exchange server during your uptime.  During primary mail server down time, emails pass through the filtering system and are then sent to our MX Backup Solution where they are held until your primary mail server becomes available. For more information regarding our anti-spam and virus filtering services, please
What will happen if I do not have a Webservio MX backup (aka Mail Bagging) solution?
If you do not have a Backup MX Server (aka Mail bagging or Backup MX), the following conditions may occur if your primary mail server becomes unavailable for any reason:Email will bounce (Returned to Sender)Your (inbound) email will cause a backup in the originating mail server's spoolService Timeout. Depending on the Retry Attempts by the originating mail server, your mailboxes may never receive their incoming emailCorrespondents may not understand bounce messages. To most users, bounced (undelivered) messages are unreadable, so when they can't send an email, they may not try to resend

What if I have no internet access for an extended period of time yet I still need to continue my email communication?
Email Continuity is often referred to as Email Disaster Recovery. This is because there are numerous situations, such as natural disasters, when your mail server, internet or both, could be down for  extended periods of time. During such disturbances, business must still proceed. Email Continuity will give email access through Web based, as well as POP3 or IMAP accounts, so that communication can continue from a different location that has internet connectivity.
What is Email Continuity and when would I use it?
Email Continuity is an addition to Webservio's mail backup solution which allows all your email users to send and receive email messages during your mail server outage. With POP3, IMAP and Web based access, users may simply continue to send and receive emails from their email client as if there is no interruption, or Web based email accounts can be accessed from anywhere in the world. This solution will ensure business continuity when email communication is essential during primary mail server downtime.
When my mail server goes down and I am sending messages from my Email Continuity Web based account, will my email recipients see an unfamiliar address?

Under what types of condition spooling does not take effect?
The fail over for any mail systems happens only if your mail server does not respond to ETRN. In some scenarios mail servers or spam filtering gateways respond to ETRN and that is when the fail over mechanism does not happen and the normal email delivery continues. Our general recommendation to avoid such scenarios please make certain that your engineer knows what they are doing and avoid accepting emails or make sure that the appliance would retain accepted emails.

What's the Difference?IMAP accesses the emails directly from the server, so if you delete an email on your phone, it will be deleted on the server. This method may be preferable if you have multiple devices that you will use to access your email continuity account. POP stores emails locally (on your device), so it does not sync. However, once downloaded, the emails may load faster since they are already stored on the device instead of b
