My domain is registered with another registrar. Can I move/transfer it to Webservio?
Article Yes. However, there are some conditions to be aware of:
  • We cannot do registrar transfers for domains that are on hold or past due with the current registrar. To be on the safe side, you should start the registrar transfer process at least two weeks before the expiration of the domain.
  • The admin contact's email address for the domain must be valid. If the admin contact's email address listed in the current whois info is no longer valid, you must contact the original registrar first to update this information.
  • Check to make sure transfer is supported for the domain extension. This is not an issue for common extensions like .com, .org, .net, .edu, etc. However if you have a more obscure extension, see if it is included on this list under the Transfers tab.
If the above conditions are met, you will need to unlock the domain (if applicable) and obtain the EPP/Authorization Code from your current domain registrar. Once you have done so, you can proceed with the transfer:
  1. Go to http://services.webservio.net
  2. Click on Transfer Domain.
  3. Enter your Domain Name and the Authorization Code.
  4. If you already have an account you may login, or create a new account.
  5. From this point, the system should guide you through the necessary steps. If you need additional assistance, view this article:
  6. http://domains.webservio.net/kb/servlet/KBServlet/faq553.html
  7. To transfer multiple domains, simply repeat the process above for each domain. If you have many domains to transfer, follow these instructions for bulk transfer:
  8. http://domains.webservio.net/kb/servlet/KBServlet/faq618.html

***After you place the Transfer Order, the Administrative Contact for the domain will receive an email to authorize the transfer. It must be approved within 5 days.

If you have an existing account in the Webservio Billing System (https://billing.webservio.net), you can contact us after the domain transfer has completed and we will link the domain to that account.
