What is an MX record and how does your solution work?
What is an MX record and how does your solution work?
Article
An MX (email exchange) record is an instruction within a DNS (domain name system) that routes the e-mail for the domain to the correct mail server. Without a valid mail exchange record, one cannot send and receive emails. When a message is sent to an email address, that piece of mail is routed through to the mail server whose MX record is listed in the DNS. When you sign up for Webservio's SpamWeeder solution, your email will be routed to our anti-spam portal by using MX records we provide. Once the messages have been filtered through our portal, we will relay the mail to the correct mail server as specified with your email exchange record.
