This is a timeout error that is notoriously difficult to diagnose. I can be caused by high
latency
on your network or
internet connection, large or corrupted attachments
failing to download in a timely fashion,
Anti-Virus softwa
re installed on your machine, or a problem with the email client software itself. For Outlook 2002, it may be possible to resolve the issue by installing the patch from Microsoft:
